Welcome to my YouTube channel this time

we are going to learn how to create this

an incredible effect with Adobe Photoshop

let's start

we remind you that the images used can

be found in the video description we

start by duplicating the image using

ctrl + the J key and with the object

selection tool select the subject area

now we apply a layer mask then we go to

the second image select the entire area

and using ctrl + the C key we copy the

image and with ctrl + the V key pasted

on the subjects, image using ctrl + the T

the key we reduce and adjust the image so

that it is according to the size of the

the subject we can lower the opacity to

verify that the images in the place that

we want now holding the ctrl key pressed

we click on the subjects layer mask to

select the outline of the subject then

we go to the layer of the other image

and apply a layer mask now with the

brush in black and the opacity quite low

we pass the brush around the selection

thus revealing part of the subject as

seen on screen we are applying the brush

to the subjects head area gradually

revealing his face

we can use the white colour to eliminate

areas where we have accidentally passed

the brush

to finish using control plus the e key

we join the two images and successively

we go to image adjustment and click on

hue/saturation to lower the saturation

of the image

perfect we have finished this effect if

hello and this week we are going to look

at something a little bit different and

we're going to look into double exposure

so what is double exposure now simply

that is when you just take multiple

photos blend them together to create

something new now I already have a

a couple of photos in mind but I want to

put them on top of a photo of me so to

keep it simple I just have a quick shot

of my profile and took a photo side on but

ideally, think about what photos you are

going to expose it with and then pose

accordingly now for the photos that I'm

putting together you can see I have some

trees and I have some water and I wanted

to make it like it's gonna be going

through my head and the last thing I

made sure of as well as the photo of me

was in black and white but now I've got

all my resources let's get started so

here I am set up with Photoshop my black

and white headshot ready to go and the

solid colour background it doesn't matter

because we're gonna cut you out anyway

but I've just done it so it's easier so

I've got the quick select tool just

outlined myself make sure I didn't miss

anything and then I'm gonna mask it out

so we're gonna go down and hit the mask

button and then I'm just gonna go up to

the Select mask and just slightly tweak

the radius and if you were just turn on

the smart radius it will do a better job

of outlining any hairs or the edging of

you

so the next thing I want to do now that

I've got a mask of my cut out I want to

get something for the bottom part of the

the picture now I've got a photo from when I

was in Costa Rica and I was out in a

rainforest no the best kind of photos

you can get for this effect is a picture

of the skyline and then we want to flip

it upside down so you can do it first

clip or I just drag it around then we

want to resize the picture so that is

just wider than your head

and then go to the channels layer which

is next to the layers get one with the

most contrast which for me was the blue

one then get your levels out and just

really darken it down all the way and

then bring up the brightness so the sky

vanishes white there you go you see that

and then okay that come on click the

thumbnail come back to your layers and

then mask your photo and then command I

to invert it and there you go to the sky

has vanished

right with this sky gone there you can

see that I'm creeping out the bottom

so if we hide the rainforest go back to

my layer then we're gonna just erase the

bottom so I used a soft brush and it got

rid of the harsh line at the bottom and

just deleted the bottom part of my body

put the rainforests back in and there we

go we can't see me now command the

a masked layer of me but now we can start

erasing the extra bit of the rain for us

we don't want without deleted the shape

of my body but I'm not going to delete

underneath I'm gonna work the weight off

the edge of the bottom so it looks like

it just continuously goes into nothing

all right so then the next thing we need

to do is bring in something to go over

the top of me

so while we were in the forest we

actually went to a waterfall so I'm

gonna put a waterfall going through my

my brain and a waterfall that will go

through my head so I brought that in now

I'm gonna just completely cover the

the photo then using the mask from my photo

I'm going to then click that then click

the waterfall and hit the mask button so

I've got the same cutout and on the

waterfall layer there's a little link in

between the two thumbnails click that it

will unlink them and then if you click

the left thumbnail you can then start

moving a picture however you want it to

look so now we can start putting it

exactly where we want to now I want to

start bringing about the details of my

a face so I'm actually going to duplicate

the head layer then bring it to the top

of the layer so it's covering everything

and then I'm gonna change the opacity to

lighten there we go

now it's starting to come together so I

want the water to really look like it's

coming down the right-hand side of my

head and down to my chin so I've moved

that around as you see that I can now

really tweak where I want that water to

fall

and yeah I think that looks good so

that's all the layers we need together

but now we need to start making sure

they're all blending properly to give us

a really good looking photo so the first

the thing I'm going to do is start just

Watch video

deleting some of the bottoms of the

waterfall I'm actually gonna erase the

bottom of it with a harsh brush and as

you can see the details of the trees are

coming back in and then I soft brush in

the middle so then so the two pictures

then blend together then I'm gonna do a

soft brush delete on the tree line in

the middle so then the top photo and the

bottom photo to look like they've
