 I'm gonna show you
how to make a video intro

for YouTube, using your
smartphone, that looks like this.

Or this.

(rapid fire)

Or something like my
a personal favourite, this one,

because of pizza.

To do this, we're gonna use PlaceIt

and there's a link down
in the description below,

that will take you to PlaceIt,

so click on that link and follow along.

When you first open up
PlaceIt, look on the second row

and you're gonna see a tab
called designs, tap on that.

Once designs open up, we're gonna go down

to the third layer and we're
gonna scroll to the right,

until we see YouTube templates.

But as you start to scroll,

you see they have T-shirt designs,

T-shirt labels, Instagram
posts, Instagram stories.

I'm gonna pass this upright
here, flyers, Twitch templates,

business cards, Facebook
posts, Facebook covers,

banner ads, album covers, podcast covers,

they have all sorts of templates here,

but we're gonna focus on
making a YouTube intro,

so we're gonna go back and
tap on YouTube templates.

Once the YouTube templates page opens up,

tap right here and it's
gonna give you options

to choose between YouTube
banners, YouTube end cards,

YouTube intros and outros,
or YouTube thumbnails.

We're gonna tap on intros and outros.

Once the next page loads
up, you can scroll down

and you can start looking
through the intros,

or you can tap on filters,
right here, at the top

and you can go down to tags

and you can search by your channel niche,

or niche, however you
wanna pronounce that,

or you can search by tags
that have a certain vibe,

or a look that you're going for.

Now, I'm not gonna use
filters for this one,

so I'm gonna tap off.

Now, if you continue to scroll down,

you're gonna see all of these templates

and they look really good

and if you scroll down to the bottom,

you can see there's 14 plus
pages of YouTube intros.

Now, I'm not gonna show
you all of these templates,

this is for you to dig into
and find the right one for you,

but I am gonna go back and select the one

that I showed you at the
beginning of this video

and that's that one right there

and I'm gonna double tap on it.

Now, if your Internet's slow,

this might take a while
for the page to load,

because there's a lot going on here,

a lot of options that you can change,

so make sure you're connected to your WiFi

to get the fastest internet possible.

Once the page is completely loaded up,

you're gonna see a play
button in the middle,

but we're not gonna tap on that just yet.

I want you to look just
a little bit above it

and you're gonna see a music track.

Now, I don't want this music track,

so I'm not gonna play it,

but you see the blue check
icon over on the left,

if you don't want music,
you can tap on that

and it's not gonna add this
music track to the intro,

however, if you do want
it, keep that checked

and you can actually change the songs

by tapping on the pencil
icon over here, to the right

and it's gonna load up their audio library

that is absolutely packed with great songs

that you can use in your intro.

Now, these songs are copyright free,

you're not gonna have
any issues with them.

PlaceIt does allow you to
use these songs in your intro

and you don't have to worry
about a copyright claim,

or a copyright strike

and I'm gonna get into licensing
and how all of this works,

to make sure you're safe,
at the end of this video.

Once the audio library opens
up, you can tap on a filter

and search for the right vibe or mood

that you're looking for,

or you can simply scroll
around and tap on the songs

and listen to them.

Now, if you're signed in,
it gives you the option

to save those tracks by
tapping on the star icon

on the far left, but I don't need music

for this particular intro,

so I'm gonna make sure
that's turned off

and then I'm gonna
scroll down to the bottom

and explain some of the other
things here on the page.

Now, what I want you
to do is play the video

to see what it looks like.

(upbeat music)

And you see where it says
your amazing brand name

and it has a logo, you
can change that logo

and you can change the text

and in order to do that,
you wanna scroll down

to the bottom and you see, it
says your amazing brand name

and by the way, whatever
the template you work on,

it's gonna work the same way.

It might not say you're an amazing brand name,

but every part of it,
you can edit and tweak it

and make it your own.

So I'm gonna go ahead and edit the text,

then it's gonna replace
their text with my text,

or your text and once your intro is ready,

it's either gonna start
playing automatically,

or you can tap the re-watch
icon here on the bottom left

and it's gonna start playing
with your added text.

(upbeat music)

Now that looks great, but it's
still a little bit different

then what I showed you at
the beginning of this video,

so let me keep adding some
changes to make it look right.

Now, going back down to
the bottom, we're on text,

but to change the colours,

we're gonna tap on the colours
icon and the detail colour

is currently a pinkish-red colour

and that's not the colour I want,

because that's not a colour
that I use a lot on my channel,

so I'm gonna tap on that and
then I'm gonna go through

and I'm gonna find the right
colour, which is a blue colour,

I'm gonna tap on that and
then I'm gonna close it down

and it's gonna re-render
the video once again

and when it's ready, it's
gonna show a play icon

and then tell you to preview the video.

Now, I don't need to watch the intro again

because I know what the
blue's gonna look like

and you can see right here,
in the preview window,

that it added the blue, so we're
gonna go ahead and continue

tweaking the intro.

Next over from colours, you
see visuals, tap on visuals

and this is where you get to
upload your own personal logo,

which I'm not going to do, or
you can change the background

and that is what I'm going to do.

So to edit the background, I'm
gonna tap on edit background

and you see right here, at
the top, in the search bar,

it says urban.

Now, that's the keyword that
it used to find the pictures

that I could add to the background,

but that's not what I
want, so I'm gonna go back

and I'm gonna change that to
the one that I use in the intro

in this video.

I'm gonna type in the phone
and then I'm gonna go in

and find an image of
somebody holding a phone

and by the way, you can use
all of these images as well

and you're not gonna have
any issues with copyright.

So let me scroll here and find
the image that I wanna use.

Okay, I wanna use this one right here,

so I'm gonna tap on that image

and it's gonna re-render
the intro once more.

Now, you can see the preview
video button is showing,

that means it's ready,

however, I'm not gonna tap it just yet.

I'm gonna go over one more time to options

and then here's the playback speed

and this part is important

and here's something that
I want you to think about.

People are not coming
to your YouTube channel

for your intro.

That means keep it
short and keep it sweet.

So if you do have your intro

and you're finding that it's
playing a little bit too slow,

you can crank up the speed to 1.5

and that's what I'm
gonna do for this intro.

So now I have the speed
selected, the visuals in place,

the colours in place and the text in place,

then I'm gonna come back and
I'm gonna tap on preview video,

then it's gonna re-render
the video one more time

and playback the video with
all the changes that I've made

and as a heads up,

sometimes this takes a little bit of time,

based on their server load

and how fast your internet connection is.

Now, this one is six
seconds long, I love it

and you could also speed it
up inside your video editor,

so if you drop it in there
and you find that it's still

a little bit too long, you can speed it up

and make it end even sooner,

reducing the time to four
seconds, or five seconds,

or something like that.

It's entirely up to you,
just keep it short and sweet.

Now, when you have your intro ready

and everything looks perfect,
tap on the download button,

then they're gonna give
you a couple of options

to better suit what it is
that you need as a creator.

The first option is a
single video purchase.

That means that you
only purchase this intro

and depending on your needs,

this route could be the
the more expensive route to go.

If you need a lot of
templates for various things,

a subscription might be better,
but if you just need one,

then this is the way to go.

And the second option is to
get the unlimited subscription.

That's the one that I use.

Now, you have two options here.

You can go with the monthly option,

or you can go with an annual option,

but if you click on the link down below,

if you got to PlaceIt by
clicking on the link down below,

you should see a cheaper price here,

you should see a 15% discount,
if you clicked on that link.

If you don't see that, let
I know in the comments.

Now, let's talk about licensing
and what exactly you can do

with whatever you make inside of PlaceIt

and they've made this
incredibly easy to understand,

but the most important one
is, up here in the top right,

it says you can publish,
broadcast, display and distribute

the content that you make with PlaceIt.

That includes the T-shirt mock
ups, any banners, any ads,

anything you make inside of PlaceIt,

you can use it and you're
not gonna have any issues

with copyright claims,
or copyright strikes.

Or you can take it a step further

and look over here on the left.

It says that you're free to
create content for a client

and sell it for a fee,

so if your business model involves clients

and you're making art for
them, you're making mock-ups,

or headers, or banners, or
any sort of advertisements,

you can make the inside of PlaceIt

and then sell them to your customers

and you can apply to register trademarks

with the designs and logos
that you make inside of PlaceIt

and you can put your final
designs on any type of product

and then sell that product

and for those of you who have
seen pictures of my merch

that I just started selling,

I made all of those
designs inside of PlaceIt

and there are links to those down
in the description, as well.

If you wanna learn even more
about how to make graphics,

or how to edit video with your smartphone,

go ahead and tap on
either one of the videos

that is showing on the screen right now.

Both of these tutorials
will help you do that.

Thank you so much for watching,

I do appreciate it and I'll
see you in the next video.
